Facebook Relationship Request

They say...
It's not official until it's on Facebook
What are your thoughts on publicizing a relationship?

For me, it's not official until it's on my Google+ profile. Can't take Facebook too seriously nowadays!

Have a relationship that lasts. Then you don't need to worry about those posts and pictures, and the issue of trust would never arise.

Otherwise, it'll be a messy relationship. In that case, the consequences of confirming or ignoring are irrelevant.

Well, it seems to be everyone likes to publicize his or her relationship status on social networking sites. It's said to be letting others know that you are unavailable. However, some just made fun of it.

It doesn't matter on Facebook as long as you're doing it seriously in real life. ;)

My thoughts are that it's some way to tell the world that you and him is in a relationship. Nowadays, people think a relationship is not official until they see you posting a status or whatever on facebook. But like what ken said, doesn't matter as long as in real life, you are in a relationship. .. but still, sometimes your other half don't think so. Gah, this whole publicizing-relationship-status-on-social-sites is tricky and rather unnecessary. If it gives your bf or you a peace of either of you's mind, then why not right ?

Agreed... publicizing relationship is rather unnecessary...

#1 depends on u and ur partner and how particular u both are about wanting the world to know.

#2 if u do break up, it's time to update ur FB status again.. back to 'no longer in a relationship'.

#3 perhaps be in a lasting relationship? and if that's tough then don't update FB till it's been at least 6 months down the road?

#4 or be in and out in a relationship.. update FB whenever.. and who cares what others think?

have you read "act like a lady, think like a man"? if a guy professes his love for you and wants to let all his friends and family know about the both of you, he's for real.
